Jianny's love for footwear was born in the villages of Northern Evia, Greece, watching his grandfather — a cobbler — breathe life into leather. Years later, he and his father traveled the Greek countryside in a van, bringing seasonal collections to women in villages far from any shoe store. The excitement that greeted them at every village square never left him.

After years of exploring different trades in South Africa, Jianny couldn't shake that feeling. In 2005, he and his wife Lizette founded Freequency Footwear — a specialist store in high-end imported shoes, bags, and accessories for men and women — built on a simple belief: that quality footwear should come with a personal touch.
